# List Venues

`GET /api/venue`

List Chartmetric venues. Supports filtering by country (`code2`), Chartmetric city (`cityId`), venue type (`venueType`), venue name (`search`), and capacity range (`minCapacity`/`maxCapacity`), and sorting by `name` (default), `capacity`, or `latestShowDate`. Each venue includes its most recent show and the most popular artist on record to have performed there. By default the "latest show" only considers shows that have already happened; pass `includeFutureShows=true` to allow an upcoming show to be picked instead.

## Query parameters

- `code2` string: Filter to venues in this country (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code, e.g. 'US').
- `cityId` integer: Filter to venues in this Chartmetric city.
- `minCapacity` integer: Filter to venues with a capacity greater than or equal to this value.
- `maxCapacity` integer: Filter to venues with a capacity less than or equal to this value.
- `venueType` 'stadium' | 'arena' | 'amphitheater' | 'festival' | 'theater' | 'concert_hall' | 'club': Filter to venues of this type. One of `stadium`, `arena`, `amphitheater`, `festival`, `theater`, `concert_hall`, `club`.
- `search` string: Filter to venues whose name contains this value (case-insensitive).
- `sortColumn` 'name' | 'capacity' | 'latestShowDate': Column used to sort the venue list. One of `name`, `capacity`, `latestShowDate`. Defaults to `name`.
- `sortOrderDesc` boolean: If true, sort `sortColumn` in descending order. Defaults to false.
- `includeFutureShows` boolean: If true, a venue’s “latest show” may be an upcoming (future-dated) show. Defaults to false, which only considers shows that have already happened.
- `limit` integer: Maximum number of venues to return. Defaults to 20, max 100.
- `offset` integer: Number of items to skip from the start of the result set; bounded by the public API offset limit.

      - `latest_show` object, nullable, required: The venue’s most recent show, or `null` if it has none on record.
        - `date` string, date-time, nullable, required: Start date of the venue’s most recent show.
        - `title` string, nullable, required: Name of the venue’s most recent show.
      - `biggest_artist` object, nullable, required: The most popular artist (by Chartmetric artist rank) to have performed at this venue, or `null` if none is on record.
        - `id` integer, required: Chartmetric artist ID.
        - `name` string, required: Artist name.
        - `image_url` string, nullable, required: Artist image URL, or `null` if none is on record.
      - `show_count` integer, required: Days with a show at the venue on record (duplicate records merged).
      - `show_trend` integer[], required: Days with a show per month over the last 24 months, oldest first, the current month last.
      - `top_artists` object[], required: Up to three of the most popular artists (by Chartmetric artist rank) to have performed at this venue, most popular first; `biggest_artist` is the first of them.
        - `id` integer, required: Chartmetric artist ID.
        - `name` string, required: Artist name.
        - `image_url` string, nullable, required: Artist image URL, or `null` if none is on record.
    - `total` integer, nullable, required: Total number of venues matching the filters, across all pages.
