# 💎 Premium — List Popular TikTok Sounds for a Track

`GET /api/track/{id}/tiktok-top-sounds`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.chartmetric.com`
- URL: `https://api.chartmetric.com/api/track/{id}/tiktok-top-sounds`
- Auth: HTTP bearer
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/chartmetric/apis/chartmetric-developer-api/docs/api/track/:id/tiktok-top-sounds/get.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

The TikTok sounds carrying the track's audio that have been active recently, one row each -- the Top Sounds table on the track's TikTok page. A track usually has many: one official sound plus the user uploads that spread separately, each with its own video count and reach. This is not every sound we hold: a sound is returned when we have video stats for it inside the seven-day trend window and it is not a de-duplicated entry, so dormant sounds drop out -- on the track behind the example our cache holds 436 and 134 come back, the same set the app's own table renders. Rows come back ordered by views, highest first, and `video_trend` carries a daily video count reaching seven days back so a caller can tell a sound that is still spreading from one that has stalled.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required: Chartmetric track ID.

## Query parameters

- `official` boolean: Restrict to sounds TikTok marks official when true, to the rest when false. Omit for both.

## Response `200`

Success

- object
  - `obj` object[]
    - `tiktok` integer, nullable: Chartmetric's own ID for the sound.
    - `tiktok_track_id` string, nullable: TikTok's ID for the sound, as Chartmetric stores it. Many carry an `x-` prefix -- on the track behind the example, all 134 did, official and not alike -- so the prefix is not a marker for anything a caller should branch on.
    - `name` string, nullable: Sound title as it appears on TikTok.
    - `creator_name` string, nullable: Who TikTok credits the sound to.
    - `views` integer, nullable: Views across every video using the sound.
    - `posts` integer, nullable: Videos using the sound.
    - `first_post_date` string, nullable: Date the earliest video using the sound was posted, `YYYY-MM-DD`. Null for sounds with no videos in our video history yet.
    - `upload_date` string, nullable: Date the sound went up on TikTok, `YYYY-MM-DD`.
    - `is_official` boolean: Whether the sound is flagged as the track's official sound. Typically one sound per track carries this and the rest are user uploads of the same audio -- 1 of 134 on the track behind the example.
    - `is_original` boolean: Whether TikTok marks the sound as original audio.
    - `is_ai_generated` boolean: Whether TikTok flags the sound as AI-generated.
    - `still_on_tiktok` boolean: Whether the sound is still live on TikTok.
    - `thumbnail_url` string, nullable: Sound artwork.
    - `video_trend` object[]: Daily count of videos using the sound, oldest first. The window reaches seven days back, so up to eight dated readings come back. Sounds with no new videos across the window report an empty array.
      - `date` string, nullable: Date of the reading, `YYYY-MM-DD`.
      - `videos` integer, nullable: Videos using the sound on that date.
