# List Chartmetric Genres

`GET /api/genres`

## Request

List Chartmetric genres, optionally filtered by `name`. Pass `isLegacy=true` to receive the legacy `genre` taxonomy instead of `genre_v2`.

## Query parameters

- `name` string: Case-insensitive substring filter on genre name; omit to return all genres.
- `isLegacy` boolean: When true, returns the legacy `genre` taxonomy; when false (default), returns the modern `genre_v2` taxonomy.

## Response `200`

Success

  - `obj` object[], required
    - `id` integer, required: Chartmetric genre ID.
    - `name` string, required: Genre name (e.g. `K-Pop`, `Mandopop`).
