# Where a page went, if it moved

`GET /v1/redirect`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.chargealong.io`
- URL: `https://api.chargealong.io/v1/redirect`
- Auth: none required

URLs here are permanent, so this is the exception: a charging site placed in the wrong suburb has its page moved, and its old address answers from this. Ask before treating a 404 as final.

## Query parameters

- `path` string, required

## Response `200`

Where it went, and with which status

- RedirectResponse: The answer, in the envelope every read shares.
  - `data` Redirect, required: Where a page went.
    - `from` string, required: The path asked about.
    - `to` string, required: Where it is now, a path on https://chargealong.io.
    - `status` 301 | 302 | 308, required: The redirect status the site answers with.
  - `next_cursor` string: Present only on a paged list: pass it back to read the next page. No public read is paged today.
  - `generated_at` string, date-time, required: When this answer was generated, UTC. Answers are cached, so it can be up to an hour old.

## Other responses

- `400`: That is not a path on this site
- `404`: That path has not moved
- `503`: The database is unavailable
