# Add a member

`POST /v1/org/invite`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.chainmemory.ai`

- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Requires the `members` permission.

## Request body

- object
  - `email` string, required
  - `role` string: owner, admin, developer or viewer

## Response `200`

Member added

## Other responses

- `400`: valid email required
- `402`: organization_not_active
- `403`: forbidden — your role lacks the permission
- `409`: Already a member
