# Search Cernion data with a JSON request body

`POST /api/query/search`

Search Cernion entities from Copilot Studio. Provide q as the search term, optionally domain and limit. Read-only.

## Query parameters

- `token` string

## Request body

- object
  - `q` string, required: Required search term, such as a city, company, VNB, VDMI matrix, ZNP project, grid operator, or MeLo ID.
  - `domain` 'companies' | 'vnb' | 'edm' | 'vdmi' | 'grid_connection' | 'znp' | 'all': Optional search domain. Use vnb to find distribution grid operators.
  - `limit` integer: Optional maximum number of results.
  - `token` string: Optional Cernion MCP token for this request. Overrides CERNION_TOKEN when provided.
