# Validate a Snapshot — check provenance hash consistency

`POST /api/datapoints/snapshot/:id/validate`

## Request

Compares each datapoint`s current `provenanceHash` against the hash recorded at snapshot creation. Returns `consistent: true` if all hashes match, or `consistent: false` with a `drift` array listing changed datapoints. The validation result is persisted back to the snapshot document.
