# Search

`POST /search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ceramic.ai`
- URL: `https://api.ceramic.ai/search`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Search the web and retrieve relevant content.

## Request body

- SearchRequest
  - `query` string, required: The search query in keyword format. Must contain between 1 and 50 words (words are separated by spaces; extra whitespace is ignored).
  - `maxDescriptionLength` integer: Maximum character length for each result's description.
  - `maxResults` integer: The number of search results to return.

## Response `200`

Successful search response

- SearchResponse
  - `requestId` string, required: Server-generated request identifier (often a UUID).
  - `result` SearchResult, required
    - `results` SearchResultItem[], required: Array of search results.
      - `title` string, required: The title of the web page.
      - `url` string, uri, required: The URL of the web page.
      - `description` string, required: A text snippet from the page content.
    - `searchMetadata` SearchMetadata, required
      - `executionTime` number, required: Time taken to execute the search in seconds.
    - `totalResults` integer, required: Total number of results returned.
