# Get a run's trace

`GET /test_framework/v1/runs/{id}/trace/`

Retrieve the raw OpenTelemetry trace associated with a simulation run.

Before calling this tool, retrieve the run with `runs_bulk_retrieve` and confirm that its `trace_id` is non-empty; an empty `trace_id` means no trace is available. Pass the run's integer `id`, not its provider call identifier or its `trace_id`.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Response `200`

- RunTraceResponse
  - `trace_id` string, required: OpenTelemetry trace ID associated with the run.
  - `spans` unknown, required

## Other responses

- `404`: The run does not exist, has no trace ID, or its trace was not found.
