# Update a skill

`PATCH /taxonomies/skills/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cavuno.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.cavuno.com/v1/taxonomies/skills/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Partial update. Changing slug auto-adds the previous slug to aliasSlugs and taxonomyAliases and cascades denormalized job data.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: The skill's opaque object id (not the slug). Use list/create responses to obtain it.

  - `name` string
  - `slug` string
  - `sourceLocale` string

## Response `200`

Successful response.

## Other responses

- `404`: Not found.
- `409`: Slug taken.
