# Disable password protection

`DELETE /settings/password-protection`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cavuno.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.cavuno.com/v1/settings/password-protection`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Disables password protection on your board. Free-plan accounts cannot disable password protection and will receive a 403.

## Response `204`

Successful response.

## Other responses

- `403`: The account's plan tier does not permit a public board; password protection cannot be disabled.
- `409`: Password protection is not currently enabled.
