# Update AdSense configuration

`PUT /settings/adsense`

## Request

Replaces the AdSense configuration for your board with the supplied values.

## Request body

- SettingsAdsenseBody
  - `adsenseEnabled` boolean: Whether AdSense placements are rendered on the public board.
  - `adsenseClientId` union: AdSense publisher ID in `ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX` format. Pass an empty string or `null` to clear.

  - `adsenseSlots` object: Map of placement key to slot configuration. Placement keys are lowercase alphanumeric with `-`, `_`, `.`, or `:`.
  - `adsenseGoogleConsentMessage` boolean: Use Google's consent message (AdSense → Privacy & messaging) for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland while AdSense is on. Defaults to `true`. Set `false` to show the board's own cookie banner to everyone instead; also turn off "Maximize message coverage" in AdSense, or European visitors may see two consent messages.
  - `adsTxt` union: Contents to serve from `/ads.txt`. Up to 2,000 characters. Pass an empty string or `null` to clear.

- `400`: The supplied AdSense client ID is not in the required `ca-pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX` format.
