# Unblock a company

`POST /companies/{id}/unblock`

## Request

Removes a company from the board-scoped blocklist. Does not republish jobs archived when the company was blocked. A company that had also been removed from the board comes back as an empty profile — it is visible again but its jobs are not restored, and the response reports `was_removed: true` (ADR-0124). Idempotent: unblocking a company that is not blocked succeeds and reports `was_blocked: false`.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: The company's opaque object `id`: the `id` field returned by the company endpoints (e.g. `p17xq4c2b9r5gz3e8j0r6t4k7m2n9d5w`). This is NOT the `slug` or display name; passing a slug like `antler` returns 404. To look up a company by name or slug, use `GET /v1/companies`, `POST /v1/companies/search`, or `POST /v1/companies/find-or-create` and read the returned `id`.

Successful response.

  - `id` string, required: The unblocked company id.
  - `blocked` false, required
  - `was_blocked` boolean, required: True when the company was on the blocklist before this call.
  - `was_removed` boolean, required: True when the company had also been removed from the board before this call.
