# Delete a Backfill rule

`DELETE /backfill/rules/{id}`

## Request

Delete a named Backfill rule. Requires an `Idempotency-Key` header.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: The Backfill rule ID returned by create or list endpoints.

## Response `204`

The rule was deleted.
