# Create MetaData Extraction Strategy

`POST /v1/organisation/{orgid}/mes`

## Request

  - API key in header `x-access-token`
  - API key in header `x-access-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Creates a new MetaData Extraction Strategy in given Organisation. Required Permissions: Organisational Administrator

## Request body

- PostV1OrganisationOrgidMesRequest
  - `name` string, required: The name of the new MetaData Extraction Strategy
  - `seperator` string, required: The seperator character of the new MetaData Extraction Strategy
  - `type` string, required: The type of the new MetaData Extraction Strategy (currently only 'filename' supported)
  - `mappings` object[], required: An array of mapping objects
    - `fieldPosition` number, required: The position in the filename
    - `metaTag` string, required: The ID of the metatag to be populated
