# Get an evidence attachment's status

`GET /evidence-attachments/{attachmentId}`

## Path parameters

- `attachmentId` string, required

## Response `200`

The attachment. It is removed a day after its upload was requested unless an intent has used it

    - `id` string, required
    - `state` string, required: awaiting_upload: post the file with the upload form. processing: Catena is scanning and checking it. ready: an intent can use it. rejected: the file was refused, for outcomeReason. failed: ask for the upload again and send the file again
    - `outcomeReason` string, nullable, required: Why a rejected or failed attachment ended, such as malware, hash_mismatch, animated or not_uploaded; null otherwise
    - `contentType` string, required: The declared media type, and once ready the one verified from the bytes
    - `sizeBytes` number, required
    - `sha256Hex` string, required
    - `filename` string, nullable, required
    - `expiresAt` string, required: When the attachment is removed unless an intent has used it first
    - `intentId` string, nullable, required: The intent that used the attachment as evidence; null until one does

## Other responses

- `404`: Attachment missing, expired or not the authenticated agent's (`evidence_attachment_not_found`)
