# Did you mean…? Existing Spanish references close to a mistyped one

`GET /api/catastro/suggest/{refcat}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.parcelgps.com`

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

For a Spanish reference (14 or 20 characters) that was not found or is malformed, returns up to 3 existing references that differ by one likely typing slip: look-alike characters (O/0, I/1/L, S/5, B/8, Z/2), two neighbouring characters swapped, one character missing or extra, or wrong control letters (the last two letters of a 20-character reference are recomputed). Every suggestion exists in our copy of the Dirección General del Catastro (a recomputed 20-character reference may rest on its parcel when our copy has no dwellings for it) and carries its address, municipality and province so the user can recognise it. Spain only: any other `country` returns an empty list. Free: does not use the quota.
