# Get Case Viewer

`GET /authorities/{authority_id}/viewer`

Single payload for the case viewer — metadata, document body, cites, cited-by.

Replaces the fan-out of GET /authorities/{id} + /cites + /cited-by + /elements
for rendering a judgment. Powers the MCP case-viewer app and the web viewer.
``document.tree`` is the full semantic document tree (see /document); the
paginated ``document.paragraphs`` is a flat projection of it for the MCP app.

- `authority_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `paragraph_ref` string, nullable: Pinpoint paragraph to scroll to (e.g. 45, para 12)
- `paragraph_offset` integer
- `paragraph_limit` integer, nullable: Body-paragraph page size. Omit to return every paragraph in ``document.paragraphs`` (default). Set with ``offset`` to page.
- `offset` integer, nullable: Alias for ``paragraph_offset``.
- `limit` integer, nullable: Alias for ``paragraph_limit``.
- `include_flat_paragraphs` boolean: Include the flat ``document.paragraphs`` projection. The web viewer reads ``document.tree`` only; set false to skip serialising the duplicate body (~40%% of the payload).
