# Create a persistent folder

`POST /vault/{id}/folders`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.case.dev`
- URL: `https://api.case.dev/vault/{id}/folders`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a durable empty folder and missing parents. Metadata only; no S3 objects are created. Requires vault-wide write access and vault ownership.

- `400`: Invalid folder path
- `401`: Invalid API key
- `403`: Vault-wide write access required
