# Create Project Rfi

`POST /api/v1/da-project/ops/projects/{project_id}/rfi`

Founder: record an RFI + set the per-response variable charge (Wave 6D).

Stores the council's request items + a founder-entered variable charge
(``response_charge_aud``) and scope on ci_tp_rfi with ``charge_status`` =
'pending'. Advances the project to the ``rfi`` stage (forward-only) and seeds
the ``council_correspondence`` client requirement so the customer can upload
direct council correspondence. The customer then sees the
``approve_extra_work`` CTA with the amount; only after they approve is the
response work unblocked. Founder-only; declared before /{project_id}.

- `project_id` string, required

## Request body

- CreateRFIRequest: Founder: record an RFI + the per-response variable charge (Wave 6D). The charge VARIES per project — the founder enters ``response_charge_aud`` and a short ``charge_scope`` describing the work. The customer must approve the additional work (the ``approve_extra_work`` CTA) before Casa drafts + responds. ``items`` carries the council's request items so the WS7 draft endpoint can generate the response once the charge is approved.
  - `response_charge_aud` number, required: Per-response variable charge (AUD).
  - `charge_scope` string, required: Short description of the additional RFI-response work.
  - `rfi_number` string, nullable
  - `issued_date` string, nullable: ISO date council issued the RFI.
  - `response_due_date` string, nullable: ISO date the response is due.
  - `items` object[]: Council's RFI items (each {council_request: ...}) for the WS7 draft.
  - `source_document_id` string, nullable
