# Create User

`POST /users`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cargoai.co/solutions`
- URL: `https://api.cargoai.co/solutions/users`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

This document outlines the process for self-user provisioning using the CargoCONNECT API. This endpoint facilitates the addition of users to your existing authorized API key. Field formats are listed on the [Data Format](/reference/data-format) page.

- `x-api-key` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `firstName` string, required: first name of the user
  - `lastName` string, required: last name of the user
  - `email` string, required: user's email address
  - `companyName` string, required: user's company name
  - `iataCode` string: user's IATA code
  - `cassCode` string: user's Cass code
  - `countryCode` string: user's country code. Required when `offices` is not provided.
  - `officeAirportCode` string: user's office airport code (or closest airport)
  - `partnerId` string: user's custom identifier in partner system
  - `offices` object[]: list of user's offices
    - `iataCode` string: office's IATA code
    - `cassCode` string: office's CASS code
    - `countryCode` string, required: office's country code
    - `officeAirportCode` string: office's airport code (or closest airport)

## Response `200`

200

- object
  - `status` 'Activated' | 'Manual activation' | 'Pending validation' | 'Pending company validation': account status of the user. Omitted when the status is not one of the listed values.
  - `message` string: result of the request
  - `token` string: authentication token for the CargoMART portal
  - `link` string: redirection link to the CargoMART portal, including the token
