# EV charging stations near a point

`GET /v2/charging/stations`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cardog.app`
- URL: `https://api.cardog.app/v2/charging/stations`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Radius search over our own copy of the Open Charge Map dataset — no live upstream. Nearest first. Open Charge Map data is ODbL 1.0: responses carry the `attribution` string; surface it wherever stations render.

Stations nearest first, with the ODbL attribution

  - `total` integer, required: Number of stations returned, at most `limit`
  - `stations` object[], required: Nearest first
    - `ref` string, required: Entity ref ({domain}:{key}) in the "station" domain. Example: "station:ocm/248113"
    - `id` string, required: Station id in the source dataset (Open Charge Map ChargePoint ID)
    - `source` string, required: Source dataset: "ocm" (Open Charge Map). Other values may be added.
    - `name` string, nullable, required
    - `address` object, required
      - `street` string, nullable, required
      - `city` string, nullable, required
      - `state` string, nullable, required
      - `postalCode` string, nullable, required
      - `country` string, nullable, required: Country code (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2)

    - `maxPowerKw` number, nullable, required: Highest rated power of any connector at the station, in kW
    - `numberOfPoints` integer, nullable, required: Number of charge points at the station
    - `operator` string, nullable, required
    - `status` string, required: Station status: "Operational" or "NonOperational". Decommissioned stations are kept in the dataset, so filter on this field.
    - `usage` string, nullable, required: Usage class, e.g. "Public", "Private - Restricted Access"
    - `isMembershipRequired` boolean, nullable, required
    - `isPayAtLocation` boolean, nullable, required
    - `dateCreated` string, nullable, required: When the source first recorded the station (ISO 8601)
    - `dateLastVerified` string, nullable, required: Last source verification (ISO 8601)
    - `links` object: Related resources, keyed by relation name, each a server-relative path. Example: {"recalls": "/v2/recalls/entity/model-year:toyota/rav4/2021"}
  - `asOf` string: When the data was last refreshed (ISO 8601)
  - `attribution` string, required: Open Charge Map attribution string (ODbL 1.0 licence). Must be shown wherever station data is displayed.
  - `links` object: Related resources, keyed by relation name, each a server-relative path. Example: {"recalls": "/v2/recalls/entity/model-year:toyota/rav4/2021"}

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request — grammar failure or unknown-but-well-formed refs, NAMED in `refs`/`details`, with nearest-ref `suggestions` where computable. Never a fuzzy fallback.
- `401`: No valid credential (API key, session, or internal token)
- `402`: Insufficient credits (free-tier hard stop; paid tiers bill overage instead)
- `429`: Per-minute rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal error
