# Get updates

`GET /v4/updates`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.carbonvoice.app`
- URL: `https://api.carbonvoice.app/v4/updates`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `pxtoken`
  - OAuth 2 (implicit, authorization URL `https://api.carbonvoice.app/oauth/authorize`)

Like v3, but without channel_updates (moved to GET /channel-updates) and with keyset paging: repeat with since=newest_event_date and id=newest_event_id while has_more is true.

- `limit` number
- `id` string

## Response `200`

- UpdatesResponseV4
  - `updates` Update[], required: List of changes to all kinds of resources, like channel name or workspace name. Channel updates (seen_seq etc.) moved to GET /channel-updates.
    - `id` string, required: Unique identifier for the membership update event
    - `date` string, date-time, required: Timestamp when the event was created
    - `workspace_id` string, nullable: ID of the workspace associated with the event
    - `channel_id` string, nullable: ID of the channel associated with the event
    - `resource` 'workspace' | 'channel' | 'folder' | 'message' | 'user' | 'channel_membership' | 'workspace_membership' | 'label' | 'ai_prompt', required
    - `action` 'created' | 'updated' | 'deleted' | 'added' | 'removed', required
    - `object_id` string, required: The object affected by the event
    - `caused_by_user_id` string, nullable: The user who caused the event, when applicable
  - `number_of_updates` number, required
  - `has_more` boolean, required: True when more events exist past this page; request the next page with since=newest_event_date and id=newest_event_id.
  - `oldest_event_id` string, nullable
  - `newest_event_id` string, nullable: Keyset cursor id for the next page; null when the page is empty.
  - `newest_event_date` string, date-time, nullable: Keyset cursor date for the next page; pass verbatim as since. Null when the page is empty.
