# The store's activation state

`GET /v1/store/status`

Armed or not, settlement mode, rails, active footprints, the last order, and which panel steps remain. Nothing here arms a store, accepts the Merchant Terms or saves a payment method: those are the merchant's own acts in the panel, and steps_remaining is how a caller learns which is outstanding. plan and allowance are null — the plan is GET /v1/usage and the allowance is not served yet. key_mode is test for a test key (every order it posts is a preview), live for any other key, and null for an OAuth caller.

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential. Every authentication failure returns this one document.
- `402`: The account's plan does not include this capability. Carries min_tier and upgrade_url.
- `403`: A missing scope, an exhausted analysis allowance, or an object that is not the caller's.
- `404`: No such resource.
