# Drop one cart line

`DELETE /v1/offsets/cart/items/{item_key}`

## Request

The key is the item_key a cart read returned, and it belongs to exactly one of the two carts, so no type is needed. A key naming no line in this account's cart answers 404. Both carts are returned, because the shipped removal does not say which one the line was in.

## Other responses

- `401`: No valid credential. Every authentication failure returns this one document.
- `402`: The account's plan does not include this capability. Carries min_tier and upgrade_url.
- `403`: A missing scope, an exhausted analysis allowance, or an object that is not the caller's.
- `404`: No such resource.
