# TikTok Live API

`GET /v1/tiktok/live`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.captapi.com`
- URL: `https://api.captapi.com/v1/tiktok/live`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Check whether a TikTok creator is live right now and get the stream URLs (CMAF/DASH + FLV, HLS when TikTok exposes it) — one GET with an @handle, 1 credit.

Send a profile URL or @handle. isLive is true only when TikTok liveRoom.status === 2 (also top-level status + room.status). A non-empty room does not mean live — offline responses may still include the last broadcast (title, startedAt, totalEnterCount, pull URLs). viewerCount is only set while live (stale concurrent counts are omitted when offline). Parsed streamQualities[{quality, codec, resolution, bitrate, flv, hls, cmaf, dash, lls}] unwrap TikTok's triple-escaped stream_data (prefer hls/cmaf for browsers — FLV will not play in a web player). Also: creator.id/secUid/following, liveSubOnly, gameTagId/hashTagId, paidEvent, streams{}. Flat 1 credit. /live-info is the identical payload at 7 credits — prefer /live.

## Query parameters

- `url` string, required
- `cache` boolean

## Response `200`

Success. The data object for this endpoint.

- object
  - `success` unknown, required
  - `data` object, required
    - `platform` string: Platform identifier for this response (matches the endpoint's platform).
    - `username` string: Account username / handle.
    - `isLive` boolean: true only when status === 2 — a non-empty room payload does not mean the creator is live.
    - `status` integer: TikTok liveRoom/user status enum. 2 = currently live (isLive true). Other codes (commonly 4) mean the last room payload is ended/stale — still may include title, enter counts, and pull URLs.
    - `creator` object
      - `id` string: Id of this creator item.
      - `secUid` string: TikTok secure user ID — required for many platform-internal list endpoints.
      - `displayName` string: Display name of the account. Canonical across profile endpoints (prefer over name).
      - `followers` integer: Follower count.
      - `following` integer: Number of accounts followed.
      - `verified` boolean: Whether the account is verified on this platform.
      - `avatar` string: Avatar / profile picture URL. Canonical across profile endpoints.
      - `bio` string: Profile bio. Canonical across profile endpoints (prefer over description on YouTube).
      - `status` integer: TikTok liveRoom/user status enum. 2 = currently live (isLive true). Other codes (commonly 4) mean the last room payload is ended/stale — still may include title, enter counts, and pull URLs.
    - `room` object
      - `id` string: Id of this room item.
      - `streamId` string: TikTok live stream id (distinct from room id when both exist).
      - `status` integer: TikTok liveRoom/user status enum. 2 = currently live (isLive true). Other codes (commonly 4) mean the last room payload is ended/stale — still may include title, enter counts, and pull URLs.
      - `title` string: Title of this room item.
      - `startedAt` string: When the stream, clip, or broadcast segment started (ISO 8601).
      - `totalEnterCount` integer: Lifetime total entries for the last/current room session. May remain on offline payloads as last-known; viewerCount is only set while isLive.
      - `coverUrl` string: Cover image URL.
      - `liveSubOnly` boolean: Whether the TikTok live is subscribers-only.
      - `gameTagId` integer: TikTok live game category id when the room is a gaming broadcast (0 / omitted when not).
      - `liveRoomMode` integer: Live room mode. Example: 1.
      - `paidEvent` object: Paid-live metadata ({eventId, paidType}) when TikTok marks the room as a paid event.
        - `eventId` integer
        - `paidType` integer
      - `streamUrls` string[]: Flat live stream playback URLs (compat). Prefer streamQualities / streams for quality/codec metadata.
      - `streamQualities` object[]: Parsed TikTok live pull qualities ({quality, codec, resolution, bitrate, flv, hls, cmaf, dash, lls}). Prefer hls/cmaf for browsers — FLV is not web-playable.
        - `quality` string
        - `codec` string
        - `resolution` string
        - `bitrate` integer
        - `flv` string

        - `cmaf` string
        - `dash` string
      - `streams` object: TikTok live pull URLs keyed by quality (hd/sd/ld/origin/ao/…); h264 preferred when both codecs exist.
        - `hd` object
          - `codec` string
