# Reddit Subreddit Details API

`GET /v1/reddit/subreddit-details`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.captapi.com`
- URL: `https://api.captapi.com/v1/reddit/subreddit-details`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Subreddit card — id (t5_…), weekly visitors and contributions, rules[], ISO createdAt.

Pass a subreddit URL, r/name, or bare name (case-insensitive — AskReddit and askreddit both resolve; response name is Reddit's canonical casing) and get clean JSON from the subreddit's public about page: stable id (t5_…), name, title, public description, weeklyVisitors and weeklyContributions (the two numbers Reddit shows publicly), ISO-8601 createdAt, rules[{name, description, priority}], and icon. Reddit's public page no longer shows member or online counts, so members and activeUsers are null, as are submitText, nsfw, type, language, category and banner. A subreddit that does not exist is 404 at 0 credits. Flat 1 credit. Use it to map communities before sampling posts or comments.
