# Instagram Tagged Posts API

`GET /v1/instagram/tagged-posts`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.captapi.com`
- URL: `https://api.captapi.com/v1/instagram/tagged-posts`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Posts that tag an Instagram account — author verified/avatar when available, staleFeed when Instagram only exposes an archive.

Pass a profile URL or @handle and get the profile's Tagged tab as clean JSON: id/shortcode, postType, caption, publishedAt, author{id,username, displayName, url, verified, profileImage when Instagram exposes them}, engagement{views, likes, comments}, hashtags[], mentions[]. Cursor pagination via nextCursor + hasMore. Every response includes staleFeed plus newestPublishedAt / oldestPublishedAt — when Instagram only exposes a truncated historical window, staleFeed is true and note explains why this is not live brand monitoring. Do not assume a well-known handle will return recent UGC; on this access path the live Tagged tab is login-gated and a 90s call is 503 TAGGED_POSTS_UNAVAILABLE (retryable, Retry-After, 0 credits), not a raw client timeout. Flat 1 credit on the native path; the fallback path is ~0.9/result only when the feed is fresh — archived windows stay flat 1 credit.
