# Instagram Highlights Details API

`GET /v1/instagram/highlights-details`

## Request

  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Items inside one Instagram Story Highlight album — media URLs, type, takenAt.

Pass a highlight id from /v1/instagram/highlights (with or without the highlight: prefix) — or from Instagram's web UI — and get the album's items as clean JSON: type (image | video), url, thumbnailUrl, takenAt, dimensions, durationSeconds on videos, plus coverUrl and title. An id we could not resolve is 404 HIGHLIGHT_NOT_FOUND (retryable false). A login wall / timeout / block is 503 HIGHLIGHT_UNAVAILABLE (retryable true, Retry-After). Both bill 0 credits. Two empty Instagram JSON replies fail fast — a miss is not a 10s wait. Flat 1 credit on a hit. Pass cache=true for the 24h shared cache.

    - `author` string: Creator handle or channel name.
    - `views` integer: Total view count.
    - `likes` integer: Total like count.
    - `comments` integer: Total comment count.
    - `durationSec` integer: Video length in seconds.
    - `publishedAt` string: Publish date (ISO 8601).

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request: wrong platform URL, unknown endpoint, or an invalid parameter value. Not billed.
- `401`: Missing, invalid or revoked API key. Not billed.
- `402`: Not enough credits for this request. Not billed.
- `404`: The resource does not exist or is not public. Not billed.
- `422`: A required parameter is missing or has the wrong type. Not billed.
- `429`: Rate limit reached. Wait for Retry-After seconds. Not billed.
- `502`: The platform could not be reached or returned nothing usable. Retryable, not billed. 503 and 504 use the same envelope.
