# Queue a Form D filing from recorded defaults

`POST /api/v1/form-d/file-default`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://capitalcompany.ai`
- URL: `https://capitalcompany.ai/api/v1/form-d/file-default`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Restricted automation endpoint using a separately provisioned public API key, NOT a team LP/fund key. Queues the existing Form D task using the web app’s recorded modal defaults. This initiates a real filing workflow; 202 means queued, not filed. Team-key scopes and the v2 rate limiter do not apply.

## Request body

- FileDefaultFormD
  - `taskId` string, uuid, required: Raw UUID of the pending Form D task. Filing uses its existing modal defaults; all required filing details must already be recorded.

## Response `202`

Accepted job ID, task ID and public API key ID (raw UUIDs); processing is asynchronous.

## Other responses

- `400`: INVALID_JSON, INVALID_PARAMS or DEFAULTS_INCOMPLETE: required filing defaults must be recorded before queuing.
- `401`: MISSING_API_KEY or INVALID_API_KEY: missing, invalid or revoked key.
- `404`: TASK_NOT_FOUND: no pending Form D task was found.
- `405`: METHOD_NOT_ALLOWED: this endpoint requires POST.
- `409`: JOB_ALREADY_IN_PROGRESS: the task already has an active filing job.
- `500`: INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR: queuing failed; inspect task state before retrying.
