# Trigger a Capacity webhook from a 3rd-party event.

`POST /v1/webhooks`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.capacity.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.capacity.com/v1/webhooks`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-capacity-id`
  - HTTP bearer

Trigger a Capacity webhook from a 3rd-party event. Returns a 200 if successful.

## Request body

- WebhookPostSchema
  - `service` string, required: The service triggering the webhook
  - `trigger_event_type` string, required: The event value that should trigger the webhook
  - `attributes` object, required: Dictionary of keys and values to passed to the webhook

## Response `200`

  - `result` WebhookSchema
    - `attributes` object: Custom attributes to be passed to the webhook
    - `created_at` string
    - `event_type` string: The event value used within the webhook trigger
    - `org_id` string: The ID of the organization that triggered the webhook
    - `source` string: source of the webhook request

## Other responses

- `400`: The request contains malformed data or violates data integrity
