# Create a user

`POST /v1/users`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.capacity.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.capacity.com/v1/users`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-capacity-id`
  - HTTP bearer

Create a user and add them to the specified groups.

## Request body

- UserPostSchema
  - `email` string, required
  - `groups` string[], required: Ids of groups of which the user will be a member
  - `first_name` string, required
  - `last_name` string, required
  - `custom1` string, nullable: Field for storing custom user data
  - `custom2` string, nullable: Field for storing custom user data
