# Get Target Languages

`GET /target-languages`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://client.camb.ai/apis`
- URL: `https://client.camb.ai/apis/target-languages`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- LanguageItem[]
  - `id` integer: The id property represents a unique numerical identifier assigned to each language in the system.
  - `language` string: The language of the input text. Pass a locale tag (`en-us`, `fr-fr`, `es-es`). Numeric language IDs (`1` or `"1"`) still work but are deprecated. [See all source languages](/api-reference/endpoint/get-source-languages).
  - `short_name` string: The short name is a standardized identifier for each language and locale combination, represented in the format of <language code>-<country code>.
