# List states/regions for a country

`GET /api/v1/wholesale/states`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.callnode.io`
- URL: `https://api.callnode.io/api/v1/wholesale/states`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key` and API key in header `X-Timestamp` and API key in header `X-Signature`

Regions for a country. Many countries have none — an empty list means
go straight to areas with just the `countryId`.

## Query parameters

- `countryId` string

## Response `200`

Regions (possibly empty).

- object
  - `states` object[]
    - `stateId` string: Opaque token.
    - `stateName` string

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, unknown, or badly signed credentials — check the HMAC and the timestamp skew.
- `403`: Wholesale not active, or verification incomplete.
