# Create Api Key

`POST /v1/api-keys`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.call2me.app`
- URL: `https://api.call2me.app/v1/api-keys`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Create a new API key.

**Important**: The full API key is only returned once. Store it securely.

## Request body

- CreateAPIKeyRequest: Request to create a new API key.
  - `name` string, required: Name for the API key
  - `permissions` string[]: Permissions for the key
  - `rate_limit` integer: Rate limit per minute (max 10000)
  - `read_only` boolean: If true, the key may only make GET/HEAD/OPTIONS (read) requests.
  - `expires_in_days` integer, nullable: Expiration in days

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- APIKeyResponse: Response after creating an API key.
  - `key_id` string, required
  - `api_key` string, required: The API key (only shown once!)
  - `name` string, required
  - `key_prefix` string, required
  - `permissions` string[], required
  - `rate_limit` integer, required
  - `read_only` boolean
  - `expires_at` string, date-time, nullable, required
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required
