# Send a signed test event now

`POST /v1/webhooks/{id}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cadencercs.com`
- URL: `https://api.cadencercs.com/v1/webhooks/{id}/test`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delivers a `ping` immediately and reports exactly what your endpoint did — status, body, or the transport error. Signature verification is the part integrators get wrong, usually by signing a re-serialised body, and finding that out from a silently missing event is an awful way to learn it. The ping is queued like any other event, so a failure is retried normally.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

Your endpoint accepted it.

- object
  - `ok` boolean, required
  - `deliveryId` string, required
  - `eventId` string, required
  - `status` number, nullable
  - `error` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `401`: Not signed in, and no account-linked API key was sent.
- `404`: No such webhook on this account.
- `500`: Unexpected server error. The body is always JSON.
