# Approve a change from the current address

`POST /v1/accounts/approve-email-change`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cadencercs.com`

- Auth: none required

Consumes the link sent to the address on file and issues the confirmation link to the new one. Nothing has moved yet at this point.

## Response `200`

Approved; the new address now has a link.

  - `confirmLink` string: Only when no mailer is configured.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid, used or expired link.
- `409`: The address was claimed by another account while this was pending.
- `500`: Unexpected server error. The body is always JSON.
