# Transfer a website to another organization

`POST /websites/{websiteId}/transfer`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cactal.ai/v1`
- URL: `https://api.cactal.ai/v1/websites/{websiteId}/transfer`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Moves the website to a different organization. The target must not be the current owner, and you need transfer permission on the website plus website-creation permission in the target organization. When the website has a custom domain, the target organization must have active billing with a free plan slot. If the target organization already has an active website with the same slug, transfer returns a 409. All website-scoped editor grants are removed as part of the transfer.
