# Submit product feedback

`POST /feedback`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Adds user-requested free-form feedback to the Cactal product-feedback inbox. Describe what happened and what would have made the experience better. Agents must set `authorKind` to `agent` even when acting through a user OAuth connection. Never include credentials, secrets, raw sensitive user content, or unnecessary personal or customer data.

## Request body

- object
  - `authorKind` 'user' | 'agent', required: Who wrote the feedback. An AI agent must pass "agent" even when connected through a user OAuth token.
  - `feedback` string, required: Concise free-form feedback describing the Cactal problem or limitation and what would have made the experience better.

## Response `200`

The id and receipt time of the accepted feedback.

  - `feedbackId` string, required: Generated id of the accepted feedback.
  - `receivedAt` string, date-time, required: When Cactal accepted the feedback.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed. The response `message` names the first invalid field.
- `401`: Missing, invalid, expired, or revoked API key.
- `403`: The authenticated principal lacks the required capability.
- `404`: The resource does not exist or is outside the principal’s access scope.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded. Retry after the number of seconds in the `Retry-After` header.
