# Turn a channel on or off for one user and notification type

`PUT /notifications/settings/{channel}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.c1st.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.c1st.com/api/notifications/settings/{channel}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Channels are add-ons to the in-app subscription, so enabling a channel for a user who isn't subscribed in-app is rejected, and unsubscribing in-app also stops the channel. The main user can change any user, other users only themselves.

## Request body

- object
  - `notification` string, required
  - `userid` integer, required
  - `enabled` boolean, required

## Response `200`

OK

- object: Notification type mapped to the ids of the users receiving it on the channel

## Other responses

- `4XX`: 403 if a non-main user changes another user's channels, 422 if the user isn't subscribed to the notification in-app
