# Send an Update Check Action

`POST /v1/default/device/update`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.bymason.com`
- URL: `https://api.bymason.com/v1/default/device/update`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Sends an Update Check Action to a list of devices. An Update Check Action tells
the device to check in to the platform to get any updates. Updates are any artifacts
deployed to the devices group, including Mason OS, project builds, and apps. If
the device is out of date for any artifact, it will install the latest deployed
version.

  - `devices` string[]: List of device ids to send an Action to

## Response `204`

No content

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `404`: Resource(s) not found
- `500`: Internal server error
