# Delete contact

`DELETE /platform/v3/contacts/{contactId}`

Deletes a contact by its unique identifier. A contact that is currently referenced by an active payment cannot be deleted.

## Path parameters

- `contactId` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Contact deleted

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: The specified resource was not found
- `500`: Unexpected Error
