# Creates a new group. Restricted to admins only

`POST /workspaces/{workspace_domain}/groups`

## Path parameters

- `workspace_domain` string, required

## Request body

- AddGroupRequest
  - `name` string, required — The name of the group
  - `auto_assign_to_new_projects` boolean — Whether to automatically assign group members to new projects
  - `allow_add_new_projects` boolean — Whether group members are allowed to add new projects
  - `allow_add_new_domains_on_owner_behalf` boolean — Whether group members are allowed to buy new domains on behalf of the workspace owner
  - `auto_assign_permission_set_id` integer — The ID of the permission set to automatically assign to new project members
  - `note` string — Note for this resource
  - `agent_note` string — YAML note for AI agents operating on this resource
