# Execute a command in a sandbox

`POST /workspaces/{workspace_domain}/sandboxes/{sandbox_id}/commands`

## Path parameters

- `workspace_domain` string, required
- `sandbox_id` string, required

## Request body

- ExecuteSandboxCommandRequest
  - `command` string, required — Command to execute in the sandbox
  - `runtime` 'BASH' | 'JAVASCRIPT' | 'TYPESCRIPT' | 'PYTHON' — Runtime environment for command execution (default: `BASH`)

## Response `200`

- SandboxCommandView
  - `url` string — API endpoint to GET this object
  - `html_url` string — Web URL to view this object in Buddy.works
  - `id` string — The ID of the command
  - `command` string — Command to execute in the sandbox
  - `runtime` 'BASH' | 'JAVASCRIPT' | 'TYPESCRIPT' | 'PYTHON' — Runtime environment for command execution (default: `BASH`)
  - `status` 'INPROGRESS' | 'SUCCESSFUL' | 'FAILED' — Command execution status
  - `exit_code` integer — Command exit code
  - `start_date` string, date-time — Command execution start date
  - `finish_date` string, date-time — Command execution finish date
  - `logs_url` string — API endpoint URL to retrieve logs for this command
