# Count marketplace items matching a filter

`GET /api/marketplace/v2/items/count`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://buckybuild.com`
- URL: `https://buckybuild.com/api/marketplace/v2/items/count`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns only the total for the supplied filters — cheaper than fetching a page when all you need is the count. Cached for 5 minutes. Note this endpoint returns a bare object, not the `MarketApiResponse` envelope used by the list endpoints.

## Response `200`

Total matching item count.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation or client error.
- `401`: Authentication required.
- `403`: Insufficient permissions.
- `404`: No such resource, or no such route under this version prefix.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (`code: RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED`, `retryable: true`). Honour `Retry-After`.
- `500`: Unexpected server error.
