# Upload Extension

`POST /extensions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.browser-use.com/api/v4`
- URL: `https://api.browser-use.com/api/v4/extensions`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Browser-Use-API-Key`

Upload a Manifest V3 extension as a ZIP file with manifest.json at its root.

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- ExtensionView
  - `id` string, uuid, required
  - `name` string, required
  - `version` string, required
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `403`: Extensions are not available for Zero Data Retention projects
- `413`: The upload is larger than 100 MiB
- `422`: The extension is invalid or the project has 100 extensions
- `503`: The extension could not be stored
