# Search Google for a business

`GET /v1/social/google-business/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.brixsignage.com`
- URL: `https://api.brixsignage.com/v1/social/google-business/search`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Search for a business by name and town so it can be connected as a Google Business location. This is an alternative way to pick a location when direct account access is not yet available. Each result includes a place ID, name, and address; use the place ID to complete the connection.

## Query parameters

- `q` string, required

## Response `200`

Success.

- object
  - `data` object[], required: Up to 8 matches.
    - `placeId` string, required: Send it to `connect`.
    - `title` string, required
    - `address` string, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, expired or revoked bearer token.
- `403`: The token lacks the permission this operation needs (see `x-brix-permission`).
- `422`: `q` is shorter than 3 or longer than 200 characters.
- `502`: Google refused the search.
- `503`: Search is not configured on this platform.
- `5XX`: Server error. The body carries a `requestId` to quote to support.
