# Apply settings to many screens

`POST /v1/screens/bulk-settings`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.brixsignage.com`

Apply a Display Profile, a bundle of player settings, to many screens at once. You can also set placement fields such as `nodeId`, `location`, and `tags` for the screens in the same request.

**Notes.**
- A `rotation`, `displayPowerMode` or `playbackMode` value outside its set is ignored, not refused.

  - `screenIds` string[], required: Screens to change. Ids you cannot edit are skipped.
  - `settings` object, required

    - `timezone` string, nullable: IANA time zone; null clears it.
    - `operatingHours` string
    - `displayPowerMode` 'always-on' | 'follow-schedule' | 'os-default'
    - `playbackMode` 'sync' | 'unsync' | 'device-time'
    - `powerPolicyId` string, nullable
    - `nodeId` string, nullable: Move the screens to this location (needs screen.edit there).
    - `location` object, nullable
      - `label` string, required
      - `lat` number, required
      - `lng` number, required
    - `tags` string[]: Replaces each screen's tags.
    - `playerSettings` object: Merged into each screen's player settings.

## Response `200`

Success.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, expired or revoked bearer token.
- `403`: The token lacks the permission this operation needs (see `x-brix-permission`).
- `404`: The destination location does not exist.
- `422`: Invalid time zone or screen list.
- `5XX`: Server error. The body carries a `requestId` to quote to support.
