# Permanently delete from the recycle bin

`POST /v1/recycle-bin/{kind}/{id}/purge`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.brixsignage.com`
- URL: `https://api.brixsignage.com/v1/recycle-bin/{kind}/{id}/purge`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Permanently erase one deleted item before the 30-day recovery window would otherwise remove it. For media, this also deletes the stored file. This action cannot be undone.

**Notes.**
- Irreversible. Besides the `screen.view` gate, the caller needs the kind's delete permission (`media.delete`, `integration.delete` for a banner, …).

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, expired or revoked bearer token.
- `403`: You lack the kind's delete permission (`playlist.delete`, …) where the item lives.
- `404`: No such item in the recycle bin.
- `422`: Unknown `kind`.
- `502`: A stored file could not be removed; nothing was deleted.
- `5XX`: Server error. The body carries a `requestId` to quote to support.
