# Assign role at location

`POST /v1/org-nodes/{id}/members`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.brixsignage.com`
- URL: `https://api.brixsignage.com/v1/org-nodes/{id}/members`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Grants a person a role at this location. Provide `userId` and `roleId`. You cannot grant a role carrying permissions you do not hold yourself at that location.

**Notes.**
- The 201 body is the membership row as written.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, expired or revoked bearer token.
- `403`: The role holds permissions you do not hold, or you cannot grant them at this location.
- `404`: No such location, person or role in this workspace.
- `422`: `userId` or `roleId` is missing.
- `5XX`: Server error. The body carries a `requestId` to quote to support.
